Healing Quilts

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery. I am thankful that there has been no recurrence of the disease. I found the therapeutic act of making quilts helped me through this difficult period.

I stitched this quilt while I was awaiting the results of various tests.

                                                Surgical Scars

After the surgery, there were emotional as well as physical scars.

During the recovery period, I often felt very "raw-edged".

This quilt was constructed from the remnants of Biopsy.
